Plastic Pot Recycling
St. Louis Master Gardeners - here's your chance to make a difference in our environment on behalf of gardeners everywhere. Volunteer on Wednesday mornings from 9 to 12 noon throughout the summer to help recycling garden pots and trays.
Additional Information
Since 1998, the Kemper Center has organized a pot recycling effort on behalf of the Missouri Botanical Garden and volunteers help to sort the plastic and clear out recycling trailers that come in full of pots. These are ground up into flakes and marketed back into useful products. Come help us for a morning. We need the many hands to make this work! Over 158,000 lbs were recycling in 2008 and this year could be even more. If you have questions, call Steven Cline at 603-1805.
