Individuals, families, and groups may have fun, make friends, and "give back" to their community while working as a St. Louis County Park Volunteer! Come join us in one of our parks and volunteer alongside Master Gardeners, fellow, volunteers and the Horticulture staff. Volunteers are one of our most valuable assets in the County Park system. Their assisting our staff in planting and maintenance, is a great value to us! The Horticulture dept. appreciates all of there efforts at Creve Coeur-sail boat cove park, Jefferson Barracks Labors House Garden, Queeny Barn Courtyard Garden, Faust - Carousel Gardens & Conway House, Museum of Transportation Gardens along with our newest Missouri Native Landscape Garden.
While Volunteering inspires some to higher aspiration, for others it is just another fun way to give back to the community. Whether you're a life long gardener looking for another outlet or a novice looking for new experience will be a welcome addition to the volunteers. You will learn from experts and make new friends along the way. As one of our volunteers have stated " I think there's not any nicer people than gardeners," Pat Klimushyn said.
Join us - With the seasons, our times change, but generally 8 - 11:00 a.m
Monday - Creve Coeur Park, Tuesday- Jefferson Barracks Labors House Garden, Tuesday-&-Saturday Faust-Conway House Garden, Wednesday-Queeny Barn (Mason Rd), Thursday-Museum of Transportation, Friday Faust-Carousel Gardens.
