Speaker's Bureau Topics
In keeping with the Missouri Botanical Garden's emphasis on sustainability, two new Speakers Bureau topics have been added to the List of Topics. Rain Gardening and Sustainable Gardening-Holistic Gardening are now in the 'List of Topics' as well as existing programs on composting, organic gardening, and three programs on native plants and shrubs.
Also, there is a section under, 'Tours' that features group, walking/teaching tours through six 'specialty' gardens at Missouri Botanical Garden: daylily, iris, shade native, sun/prairie native, woodland, and the Orchid Show. With the exception of the Orchid Show, these are outdoor programs, all focusing on the care and cultivation of plants in your home garden. They last approximately 1 hour and cost the $50.00 Speakers Bureau fee. They are booked directly with the Master Gardener and are available for a 4 - 6 week period during their peak bloom or growth period.
