Want Some Unusual Plants? Go to a Plant Sale!
By Master Gardener Claire Chosid
If you love to garden, you also love plant shopping. I could spend days driving far and wide to find a great plant sale. After all, people who love plants and strive to see their customers pick the perfect plant for their gardens usually sponsor these sales. There are many coming up in the next few weeks- why not make plans with a gardening buddy to spend the day and check the sales out! All of the plant sales listed would greatly appreciate if you would bring your own boxes to take your treasures home in. Most accept cash and checks, only a few take credit cards, so plan accordingly.

Plants that have been grown in a greenhouse need some special care. For more information about acclimating them to their new environment, see my previous blog that explains how to harden off your plants.
