Carol Gravens became a St. Louis Master gardener after retiring from a professional career as a microbiologist. As a Master Gardener, she volunteers in many capacities, but her first love is orchids. She has an extensive orchid collection at her home in Glendale, Mo. Carol can be found every Thursday volunteering in the orchid greenhouses at Missouri Botanical Garden, helping tend the over 8500 orchids housed there. She shares her love of orchids by speaking to garden clubs, community groups, and classes at MGB. |
