Feng Shui

Feng Shui is the ancient Chinese art of bringing harmony and balance to a garden. Slides and handouts will demonstrate the practical Feng Shui principles.

Additional Information

These principles can be applied to an existing garden or can be used in designing a new garden.

When Mrs. Mitchell retired from a teaching career she became a volunteer at the Missouri Botanical Garden. That was 16 years ago.

She is a Senior Docent, Host, and a Master Gardener. Besides giving tours and being on the Master Gardener Speaker's Bureau she spends one day a week at the Plant Doctor desk located in the Kemper Center at Missouri Botanical Garden.

She has been an instructor for the docent and Speaker's Bureau members. She has written informational material for both programs.

She has always had an interest in Asian cultures and was able to reinforce that interest by visiting China, Korea, and Japan.
